MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: This case has been assigned to the calendar of Judge LaShonda A. Hunt. On 7/7/25, Plaintiff filed a complaint 1 and sealed Schedule A to the complaint 2. On 8/6/25, Plaintiff filed an amended Schedule A to the complaint 14 which publicly identifies the sole remaining Defendant in this case and an ex parte motion for leave to conduct expedited discovery and electronic service of process pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(f)(3) under seal 15. Plaintiff failed to request leave to file either the original Schedule A or the motion under seal and has provided no basis for doing so. Plaintiff has therefore not established exceptional circumstances that would provide any basis for sealing the names of associated defendants listed in its original schedule A 2. See Union Oil Co. of Cal. v. Leavell, 220 F.3d 562, 567-68 (7th Cir. 2000) ("Many a litigant would prefer that the subject matter of a case. be kept from the curious (including its business rivals and customers), but the tradition that litigation is open to the public is of very long standing."). The Clerk is directed to unseal Schedule A to the Complaint 2 and Plaintiff's ex parte motion 15. Plaintiff's ex parte motion for leave to conduct expedited discovery and electronic service 15 is granted in part and denied in part. The Court grants Plaintiff's request for expedited discovery as the Court finds that expedited discovery is warranted to obtain Defendant's contact information. Enter Order Authorizing Expedited Discovery. Plaintiff's request for electronic service of process pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(f)(3) is denied without prejudice. Plaintiff seeks authorization to effectuate service of process by email and electronic publication but has not yet shown that it has a reliable email address at which it may reach Defendant. Any renewed motion must include these details. If no other relief has been sought, Plaintiff is ordered to file a status report by 9/2/25 updating the Court on the progress of expedited discovery and proposed next steps in the case. The Clerk is directed, forthwith, to correct the docket and case caption to reflect that the Defendant in this case is "Fine great art." The motion hearing set for 8/20/25 17 is stricken. Aug. 25, 2025

MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: Plaintiff's renewed motion for electronic service [21] is granted. Electronic service of process does not violate any treaty and is consistent with due process because it is an effective way to communicate with online marketplace defendants. Enter Order Authorizing Electronic Service of Process. Motion hearing set for 9/4/25 [23] is stricken. A status report regarding next steps is due by 9/29/25, if other appropriate relief has not been sought by that date. Mailed notice (gel,)
