MINUTE entry before the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer: Plaintiff Ping Chen has filed a second complaint in as many days, seeking a TRO and injunctive relief against alleged counterfeiters. In the earlier-filed case (26 C 4844), the court directed Ping Chen to provide additional information in support of its claims. Perhaps this new complaint, filed by different counsel, is an effort to comply with that direction. But the court is now concerned that the complaint in this case (26 C 5068) is duplicative of the one filed earlier. Plaintiff's attorneys are directed to appear in person on May 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m in Courtroom 2503 to provide further information. The court declines for now to enter any asset freeze or other equitable order. Mailed notice. |
